Choose Zeotherm® TPVs For the Toughest Underhood Environments. The trend toward smaller, hotter engine compartments in today's automobiles and trucks and the use of more aggressive oils and fluids demand a higher level of heat and oil resistance from rubber and plastic components. It is increasingly common for parts to require sustained heat resistance to 175°C. Zeotherm TPVs are a performance upgrade in heat- and oil-resistance compared to EPDM//polypropylene-based TPVs and copolyesters. And, versus thermoset rubber (e.g., AEM), Zeotherm TPVs can be a cost savings with comparable functional performance. Additionally, Zeotherm TPVs allow for part consolidation via their superior overmold adhesion to polyamides and polyesters. Zeotherm TPVs are rated as 150°C continuous use temperature per the SAE J2236 specification and are capable of repeated short-term/spike exposure to 175°C. Zeotherm TPVs do not soften until 190°C and have a melt point of 220°C. Choose Zeotherm TPVs to create heat- and fluid-resistant:
